Workout 81 - I am So Thankful @ ScrapFIT

Hi friends. I have been awfully quiet on the blog front, but it's been with good reason. I had my sister and her sweet girls visiting for a week (we had such a lovely time together!!), and then went down the coast for Christmas. We are now back home, enjoying some relaxing time by the pool, and just enjoying the quiet time before we go back to work on Wednesday next week.

Anyway, I am back to share a layout I created for Workout #81 at ScrapFIT. I gotta say, I adore these photos of my youngest son Jamie, he really does hold my heart very firmly in his little hands!!!!

For this layout I used a gorgeous layout by Maggie Holmes as my inspiration, whenever I see her new layouts posted over at STUDIO CALICO I am inspired to scrap!!!! I used some lovely ENMARC chippies on this page.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, for those who take the time to comment, "thank-you", it means a lot to me!!!

Smiles,

Sketch # 12 at SCRAP AFRICA!!

I am so sorry I am late with getting this post up, it's the last week of school, and we have had loads to do, as well as the race we took part in over the weekend!!

For those that might be interested, both boys did extremely well. Bryce ran his first 10km trail run, and was placed 4th in his age group!! Caide did his first 20km MTB race, and was placed first!!!! So proud of them both! I did my run in approximately 1:06, with Bryce beating me by about 5 minutes. It was very muddy and wet, but great fun!!

So without further ado, here is my layout for the latest great sketch up at SCRAP AFRICA!!

These photos were taken by a friend of a friend, and I absolutely LOVE the way they turned out. This is Caide and his best friend Sipho just before their GRADE 7 farewell!!

Here is the GORGEOUS sketch you get to play with for this challenge!!!

There are 2 random prizes up for grabs for this challenge!!!!

I LOVE my new Scrappy Log Cabin Quilt!!!!

Hiya all. Things have been a bit quiet on the blog front, cause we have been busy busy busy with exams around these parts!! Thankfully by Wednesday next week we will be all done!

I have been doing quite a lot of sewing though, and managed to finish my scrappy log cabin quilt, which I started after being inspired by the QAL hosted by Ellison Lane Quilts

Unfortunately I didn't finish my quilt in time to qualify for any of the lovely prizes up for grabs, but I think my gorgeous quilt is prize enough for me!

Another FO - This is one I am REALLY proud of!!!

Wow, Friday really does roll around so quickly, today has snuck up on me somewhat!!! We are leaving early this morning to go down to Treverton to get Caide's uniform for next year, I can't believe my son is going to High School in a matter of months!!!!!

So this must be a quick post!!

Today I am going to share a recently completed handspun shawl. I absolutely LOVE how this item turned out. My handspun yarn is thick and snuggly, and the colours are unlike any I have knit with before. Needless to say I am a little in love with this one, check it out!!!!

I can't wait to wear this!!!! The pattern is called Pogona and is available for purchase on Ravelry HERE. The construction of this shawl is just so clever, and it was a joy to knit!!
